While for a walk in the neighborhood, wearing caterpillar woolly boldly it crossed my path. I stopped to look at him. His body was black in a quarter of the surface of his head. The other three quarters sported a thick brown coat. I
remembered that there was something on the coat of a woolly bear is
supposed to give you a hint about the severity of the next winter. But I do not mean there are many details.
So I searched on the web. I found right away that this caterpillar is supposed to have black at both ends. One wonders if what I saw was an impostor or a whim of nature. It might be faster in a race. Therefore, they celebrated race tracks, and tell stories about the woolly bear, which is actually the larval stage of the butterfly tiger Isabella. Did you know that these caterpillars are as far north as the Arctic, where they freeze (enter a cryogenic state). Melting snow in the spring to eat and gain weight before becoming butterflies.
Now I know you do not want to leave out the time of the predictive winter powers "Punxsutawney Phil," the groundhog. You know how it works. He leaves his den, or is dragged on 2 February (Groundhog Day), where he will not see his own shadow. If you see the marmot returns to its den because it predicted six more weeks of violent winter time. Of course, this is a trick. If the sun when it is attracted, you will see its shadow. No one said that, but if Phil threw his shadow on a woolly bear wearing a narrow brown band, we should all go hide in his den dens because "Snowpocalypse" or "Snowmageddon" is coming!

My theory is that each of these meteorological experts has only one and consult their woolly bears before telling us what the computer says.
