Give Your Children the Freedom to Fail

• failure will hurt the self-esteem of a child• failure will make the child feel insecure• failure makes them look like a bad father• failure does not teach a child to be successful

Well, these beliefs are not entirely true. If you want your children to succeed, they must also learn to fail. In fact, it's healthy to allow their children fail. It helps them understand things better, encouraging them to make better decisions and take risks. If a child has not learned to cope with the failure, they expect life to go their way and will not be prepared when something goes wrong. Life is full of surprises. There are potholes and unexpected problems. It is possible that life will always smooth and we must be prepared.
The failure does not hurt the self-esteem of a child. It really helps to build self esteem when we help learn to accept failure. If we are patient with a child and do not get angry with them or focus on their mistakes, have a positive impact on how they feel about themselves.
The failure does not make a child feel insecure. A child will be temporarily feel insecure when they fail, but if you support and show their love in spite of their mistakes, will soon feel safe. Make sure they understand that it is okay to fail and encourage them to share their feelings.
Failure does not make you a bad parent. No child is perfect and neither is any parent. We all fail and we must accept this. If you encourage your child to be perfect, it only results in a failure. If you feel bad when your child fails, then you probably need to work on building your self-esteem and understand that failure does not make you a failure, makes you human.
